Longings, Dreams, and Broken Wishes.

To travel to Tuscany. To indulge myself within the food and history. To be left breathless while gazing at the landscapes of the land. To enjoy a pint in Ireland. To admire their dark castles and to run along the rolling green land. To travel all throughout the world. From Bali to Egypt. To feel the world. To run away and lose myself in the culture. To meet new people and share jokes and stories with. To simply travel and learn.

Dear Future Kids of Mine…

I have decided to rummage around and find my old video cassettes of all the Disney movies I own, save them, and show them to my kids. I don’t know, but I’ve always found something special in watching the cassettes rather than on DVDs or online. The old trailers for all the old upcoming movies, the commercials of going to Disneyland, Mickey Mouse in his Sorcerer’s hat pointing up in the screen, and also the 90’s quality of the videos. Sure, my kids will probably be a bit technologically behind, but it’ll be worth it. They will love me for it. LOVE. ME.

I might also be doing this for selfish reasons too. Maybe. Yes.

My best attempt at Spieling Peter. Yes, when I’m lonely I draw pretty people, so not creepy at all.

One Does Not Simply Read….

School gets in the way of everything! Especially when it comes to my reading schedule. In good news though, I did finish The Hobbit! LOVED IT. Yes capitalization of letters was necessary to express my emotions. Hee. I honestly ended up loving it way more than I thought. After reading the book I am now encouraged and excited to read the Lord of the Rings Saga. One thing though, this book made me so hungry! Mr. Bilbo Baggins talks a lot about the comforts of his home and food whenever he was feeling homesick. But the way he described it made me end up craving food I had never heard or seen before. Good play of words Tolkien, good play of words.

I just remembered Daniel Gillies actually danced during this number in the movie Bride and Prejudice. Elijah’s got moves.

My not so bad/not so great sketch of Tom Hiddleston, or The Hiddles whichever is preferable. I haven’t sketched an actual person’s face in years. So I’m a bit pleased with this, just a bit ^_^ But I really do need to improve on sketching hair, it was so hard trying to draw Hiddles’ beautifully curly hair -sigh-

And So The Journey Continues.

New batch of books!

- The Death Cure by James Dashner: Finally some closure. Finally.

- The Fault in Our Stars by John Green: Heard many good things about it. We’ll see about that, I have high expectations. Dazzle me book.

- Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins: Companion novel to Anna and the French Kiss. I’ve only read the flap of the book so far and that’s all I need. I already love it. No discussions.

-So The Hobbit: Wonderful so far. I now find myself watching the trailer for the movie non-stop now that I’m packed with all this new found knowledge.

Never Make Rushed Assumptions.

I. TAKE. IT. BACK. Every negative word I said regarding The Emerald Atlas, I take it all back! It’s as if the gods of literature read my words and decided to punish me. Really, I just finished this book and my only complaint is that it ended to soon. I’m being punished for my wicked ways. Well sure it took approximately a hundred pages to be drawn in, but man did this book win me over. A book of magic, dwarves, hidden passage ways, wizards, monsters, a brave and rough swordsman (My emotions for this man, ugh) , and the fate of the world resting on three children. What more can I ask for in a book? It was action-packed and enchanting, and as well as excruciatingly painful having to wait for the second book. Like I said before, I’m being punished by the book gods.

Well three books down and fourty-seven to go! (The Hobbit is next, hee!)

And It Goes On and On and On.

Right. So far I’ve finished reading The Scorch Trials by James Dashner. It’s the second book of a trilogy, and it was very enjoyable. It’s a YA dystopia book that leaves you with more questions than answers after finishing a book. I can’t wait to read the last book of the series so I can finally get some closure! Seriously. My emotions were everywhere while reading it. So now after having read that I decided to dive into the world of fantasy with reading The Emerald Atlas by John Stephens. It’s a good book, but it’s dragging a bit. I’ve hit a bit of a brick wall with this book and it’s taking FOREVER trying to find a way out. It really is a good book but it’s not really giving me that “what happens next!!!!” feeling. I’m trying, I really am.

Anyways. Two books down, fourty-eight to go. (After I finish The Emerald Atlas, I have The Hobbit waiting for me on my shelf. Now that is a book I cannot wait to read. Ughh kind of feel like dumping on the Emerald Atlas and finding some comfort in The Hobbit. Very tempting.)

Resolution #1:Read At Least 50 Books By the End of the Year

I did a bit of a book haul this last week. I got a bit of a mix of dystopian fiction, contemporary romance, and fantasy/adventure. So far I’ve read the contemporary novel Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, it was so…diligently romantic! I now crave to be whisked away to Paris and to walk along the Champs-Élysées while munching on vanilla macaroons or a nutella filled crepe. To fall in love within the scenery, romance, sweet indulgences, and the architecture overflowing with the history of the city of love. There were many gush worthy scenes and I dutifully gushed and squealed at every one of them. It was a very pleasant experience to let my mind live in this book for a little while, and for this book to remind me of why I love to read and why I love to find little gems that contain pages of pure enjoyment. So now that I’ve got one amazing wonderful book down; I now have fourty-nine to go. I can do this.

My lovely Anastasia Necklace. I honestly cannot properly type into words about how excited and happy I am to have this necklace. It’s so pretty!

I’m A Bit Concerned…

I was trying to weigh myself today on the scale, but all the scale kept displaying were the words “Error”. Guys…I think I broke the scale :’[ I’m not sure whether to be worried or not since I only weigh about 130 lbs. Although I kind of believe the universe IS trying to tell me something, something really really mean though.
